Psalms 132

Psalms 132

A significant royal and covenant Psalm requesting God to remember David and His oath concerning the permanent dwelling place of the Ark. The Psalmist prays, "Lord, remember David and all his affliction." The Psalm recalls David's vow to build a dwelling place for the Ark. God is quoted, making an eternal oath to David: "I will set one of your descendants on your throne." God chooses Zion as His dwelling place forever, promising to clothe the priests with salvation and cause David’s Lamp (his royal line) to flourish perpetually.
