Psalms 143
The seventh and final Penitential Psalm, a prayer asking for God's quick intervention. David is overwhelmed; his spirit is fainting, and he remembers the former days of God's powerful acts. David prays, "Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust." He prays for God to teach him God's will and lead him in the level land by God's Spirit, asking God to destroy his enemies for His name's sake.
