Psalms 17

Psalms 17

A bold prayer of a righteous man seeking God's protection and attention. David appeals to God, asking Him to hear his righteous plea, as his lips have not been deceitful. David prays to be kept as the apple of God’s eye and to be hidden under the shadow of God’s wings from his enemies who surround him. David contrasts his eternal hope with the temporary prosperity of the wicked. David is confident, stating that he will behold God's face in righteousness, and when he awakes, he will be satisfied with God's likeness.
