Psalms 20

Psalms 20

A prayer of blessing and intercession for the king before battle. The people pray that the Lord will hear the king in the day of trouble and send help from Zion. They pray that God will remember all the king's offerings and grant him the desire of his heart. The people declare their complete trust: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God." They are confident that their king will be saved and stand upright, while their enemies will be brought to their knees.
