Psalms 21

Psalms 21

A song of thanksgiving for the victory God has already given the king. The people rejoice in the strength of the Lord and the salvation God has granted the king. They praise God for giving the king his heart's desire, crowning him with glory and honor, and granting him a long life. The ultimate source of this blessing is the king's trust in the Lord, who makes him steadfast. The Psalm concludes by affirming that the Lord will consume the king's enemies, and the people will sing and praise God's power.
