Psalms 26

Psalms 26

A prayer of vindicaton and commitment to integrity. David asks God to judge him, claiming that he has walked in his integrity and trusted the Lord without wavering. David declares that he has not sat with the deceitful or hypocrites. He states, "I will wash my hands in innocence and go about Your altar, O Lord," proclaiming God’s marvelous works. David expresses his deep love for the Temple, the place where God’s glory dwells. David concludes by declaring his foot stands on level ground and he will bless the Lord in the great assembly.
