Psalms 27

Psalms 27

A powerful song of fearless confidence in the Lord. David declares, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" David states that the one thing he desires is to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life to gaze upon God's beauty. Even if his father and mother forsake him, the Lord will take him in. David concludes with an exhortation: "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!"
