Psalms 2

Psalms 2

This Psalm is a royal and prophetic song, describing the fierce rebellion of the nations against the Lord and His Anointed One (the Messiah). The kings of the earth conspire together, seeking to break God's chains of authority. God, seated in the heavens, laughs at their foolish pride and declares His unbreakable decree: He has installed His King on Zion, His holy hill. The Psalm issues a stern warning to the kings of the earth: kiss the Son (worship the Messiah) lest He be angry, and you perish, for blessed are all who put their trust in Him.
