Psalms 30

Psalms 30

A song of thanksgiving for God's restoration after a time of severe trial. David praises the Lord for lifting him up and not allowing his enemies to rejoice over him. David describes how his heart had become arrogant in his prosperity, leading God to hide His face, resulting in fear. David affirms the temporary nature of God's anger: "For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." David concludes by praising God for turning his mourning into dancing and clothing him with joy.
