Psalms 45

A magnificent royal wedding song written for the king, containing significant Messianic prophecy. The King is praised for his beauty and anointed with the oil of gladness more than his companions. The Queen is instructed to forget her own people and bow to the King. The Psalmist prophesies that the King's throne is forever and ever, and a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom. The Psalm concludes by affirming that the King will establish his name for all generations, and the people will praise him forever.
