Psalms 4

Psalms 4

This is an evening prayer where David calls upon God to answer him when he cries out. He addresses his adversaries, asking them how long they will turn his glory into shame and seek after vanity. David reminds his enemies to know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself, and the Lord will hear when David calls. He advises them to be still, search their own hearts, and offer right sacrifices. While many desire fleeting prosperity, David finds joy and security in the presence of the Lord, who makes him dwell in safety.
