Psalms 50

Psalms 50

A magnificent Psalm where God speaks directly to His people, gathering heaven and earth as witnesses. God calls Israel not to account for their lack of sacrifice, but for their hypocrisy. God declares, "I will not take a bull from your house." God wants sincere worship and thanksgiving, not empty ritual. God condemns the wicked who preach His Law but secretly engage in theft, adultery, and slander. God warns that those who offer Him praise glorify Him, and He will show His salvation to those who order their conduct aright.
