Psalms 54

Psalms 54

A prayer for urgent help and vindication, written by David when the Ziphites betrayed his location to Saul. David prays to God to save him by His name and vindicate him by His power. David laments the presence of strangers and fierce men who seek his life, men who have no regard for God. David affirms his assurance, declaring that God is his helper and will surely repay his enemies for their evil. David concludes with a promise to freely sacrifice to God because the Lord has delivered him from all his trouble.
