Psalms 64

A prayer for protection from the secret plots and malicious attacks of hidden enemies. David asks God to hide him from the conspiracy of evildoers who sharpen their tongues like swords and aim bitter words like arrows from concealment. David prays that the wicked will be caught in their own trap and their tongues will cause their own downfall, making them a spectacle. The righteous will then fear the Lord, understand God's work, and rejoice in the Lord, taking refuge in Him because He has vindicated the upright.
