Psalms 70

Psalms 70

A short, urgent cry for help and speed. The Psalmist prays, "Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O Lord!" He asks God to let those who seek his life be ashamed and confused. The Psalmist asks for those who seek the Lord to be glad and rejoice in Him, declaring continually, "Let God be magnified!" The Psalmist concludes by confessing his deep need: he is poor and needy, and pleads with God to act quickly, asking God not to delay.
