Psalms 85

Psalms 85

A national prayer for revival and restoration. The people acknowledge that God has been favorable to the land and has restored the fortunes of Jacob. They plead with God to turn them again, revive them, and show them His mercy. The Psalm expresses confidence in God's answer, affirming that God will speak peace to His people. The Psalmist concludes with a beautiful Messianic vision where Mercy and Truth meet together; Righteousness and Peace kiss each other, and salvation and glory dwell in the land.
