Psalms 8

Psalms 8

A beautiful hymn of creation and praise. David marvels at the glory of God displayed in the heavens, declaring, "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" David ponders the nature of humanity, noting that God has ordained praise even from the mouths of infants. He asks, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" Yet, God has crowned man with glory and honor, giving him dominion over all the work of God’s hands—the flocks, birds, and sea creatures. The Psalm concludes by repeating the opening praise of God's majestic name.
