Psalms 90

Psalms 90

The only Psalm attributed to Moses, serving as a profound meditation on the brevity of human life and the eternity of God. Moses declares, "Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations." Moses contrasts God's eternity with man's fleeting existence, which is like grass or a watch in the night. Human life is seventy years, or eighty with strength, quickly passing due to God's wrath. Moses prays for wisdom: "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Moses asks God to establish the work of their hands.
