Psalms 95

Psalms 95

A call to worship and a solemn warning. The people are commanded to come before God with joyful singing, acknowledging that the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. He holds the depths of the earth in His hands and owns the seas and the dry land. The psalm urges the people to bow down, for "He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture." The psalm issues a severe warning not to harden their hearts, as their fathers did in the wilderness, preventing them from entering God’s promised rest.
