Revelation 12
John sees a great, miraculous sign: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars (representing Israel). She is about to give birth. A great red dragon (Satan) with seven heads stands ready to devour the child. The woman gives birth to a male child (Jesus), who is immediately caught up to God’s throne.
