Revelation 12

Revelation 12

John sees a great, miraculous sign: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars (representing Israel). She is about to give birth. A great red dragon (Satan) with seven heads stands ready to devour the child. The woman gives birth to a male child (Jesus), who is immediately caught up to God’s throne. War breaks out in heaven between Michael and his angels and the dragon, and the dragon is thrown down to earth, intensifying his fury against the woman and her offspring.
