Revelation 13

Revelation 13

John sees two powerful Beasts. The first Beast rises from the sea (representing a final political/military empire) with seven heads and ten horns, receiving its power and throne from the Dragon (Satan). The world worships this Beast. The second Beast rises from the earth (representing a false religious prophet) and forces all people to receive a mark—the number 666—on their right hand or forehead in order to buy or sell. Those who refuse the mark are killed.
