Romans 14

Paul addresses the issues of disputable matters (like diet and observance of special days) that cause division among believers. He stresses that believers should not pass judgment on one another regarding these non-essential issues, as each person answers to the Lord. The fundamental principle is: nothing is unclean in itself, but if eating something causes a brother or sister to stumble, it is wrong. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
