Romans 8

Romans 8

This chapter, often called the pinnacle of Christian doctrine, declares, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." The Holy Spirit frees us from the law of sin and death. Paul contrasts living according to the flesh (sinful nature) with living according to the Spirit. The Spirit gives us life and enables us to call God "Abba, Father." He concludes with the triumphant promise that nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
