Song of Solomon 5

Song of Solomon 5

The beloved accepts the woman’s invitation, entering the garden and urging his friends to eat and drink fully of their love. The Shulammite woman then describes another dream: her beloved comes knocking, but she is slow to open the door. By the time she opens it, he is gone. She searches for him in anguish, but the watchmen of the city beat her. She then describes her beloved to the Daughters of Jerusalem, praising his flawless form, golden head, beautiful eyes, and radiant presence.
