Zechariah 5

Zechariah 5

Zechariah sees two visions concerning judgment and purification. The first is a large, flying scroll, representing the curse of the Law going out over the whole earth to judge thieves and perjurers. The second vision is an ephah (a large container) containing a woman named Wickedness. The ephah is sealed shut and carried away by two women with wings, symbolizing the removal of sin and wickedness from the Promised Land to a distant place in Shinar (Babylon).
