Zechariah 8

This chapter is dominated by glorious promises of restoration for Jerusalem. God declares He will return to Zion and dwell there, and Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth. God promises that old men and women will again sit safely in the streets, and children will play safely. The Lord commands the people to speak the truth and administer true judgment. He promises that the fasts they mournfully observed during exile will be changed into feasts of joy and gladness.
