Zechariah 9

Zechariah 9

Zechariah looks forward to the day of God's final victory over Israel's historical enemies, including Tyre, Sidon, and Philistia. He then prophesies the coming of the Messiah, who will be righteous and victorious, yet humble, riding on a donkey (a humble symbol of peace). This king will proclaim peace to the nations and rule over the entire earth. God promises to gather His scattered people, protect them, and make them shine like jewels, saving them for a glorious future.
