Zephaniah 2

Zephaniah 2

Zephaniah urges the nation to seek the Lord before the terrible Day of the Lord arrives, commanding the people to seek righteousness and humility. He then turns his attention to the neighboring nations, prophesying God’s judgment against the Philistines to the west, Moab and Ammon to the east, and Assyria (including Nineveh) to the north. These nations are condemned for their pride and for mocking God’s people. The message serves to show Israel that God's power extends over all nations.
