Zephaniah 3

Zephaniah 3

Zephaniah pronounces a final judgment against the wicked leaders and prophets in Jerusalem—the "rebellious and polluted city." He condemns the city for trusting no one but themselves and for consistently rejecting God’s correction. However, the book ends with a glorious promise of restoration and peace. God promises to cleanse the people, remove the arrogant, and gather the scattered remnant. He declares that the Lord will quiet His people with His love and rejoice over them with singing.
