Mary anoints Jesus's feet for burial. Jesus makes His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Jesus teaches that the Son of Man must be lifted up (crucified) to draw all people.

Jesus humbly washes the feet of His disciples, teaching them to serve. He gives them the new command: "Love one another, as I have loved you."

Jesus comforts His disciples, assuring them He is preparing a place. He declares, "I am the way and the truth and the life." He promises to send the Helper (Holy Spirit).

Jesus declares, "I am the true vine," teaching disciples must remain (abide) in Him to bear spiritual fruit. He warns them that the world will hate them.

Jesus explains that His departure is necessary so the Helper (Holy Spirit) can come to convict the world. He assures them their sorrow will turn to unending joy.

Jesus prays His High Priestly Prayer, asking the Father to protect His followers and that all believers may be one to prove the Father sent Him.

Judas betrays Jesus. Peter denies Jesus three times. Jesus is questioned by Annas, Caiaphas, and Pilate about His identity as King.

Pilate yields to the crowd; Jesus is scourged and crucified. The charge above the cross reads: "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS."

Mary Magdalene finds the empty tomb. Jesus appears to her and later to the disciples. Thomas declares, "My Lord and my God!" after seeing Jesus's wounds.

Jesus appears to the disciples while fishing and miraculously provides 153 fish. Jesus reinstates Peter by asking him three times, "Do you love me?"

Jesus instructs the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. Jesus then ascends into heaven. Matthias replaces Judas.

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descends, and the disciples speak in tongues. Peter preaches, and 3,000 people believe and are baptized.
