2 Chronicles 11

2 Chronicles 11

Rehoboam prepares to raise an army of 180,000 men to attack the Northern Kingdom and reclaim control. However, the prophet Shemaiah delivers a message from God, commanding Rehoboam not to fight his own brothers, the Israelites. Rehoboam obeys the Lord’s word and returns to Jerusalem, where he strengthens the defenses of Judah. Furthermore, all the faithful priests and Levites from the Northern Kingdom, who refused to participate in Jeroboam’s idol worship, relocate to Judah, strengthening the Southern Kingdom's commitment to true worship.
