2 Chronicles 14

2 Chronicles 14

Asa, Abijah's son, begins a long reign marked by a strong commitment to the Lord. He initiates widespread religious reform, tearing down foreign altars, pagan high places, and sacred stones throughout Judah. He commands the people to seek the Lord and obey the Law. This obedience leads to ten years of peace. When Zerah the Ethiopian attacks Judah with a massive army of a million men, Asa cries out to the Lord for help. God strikes down the Ethiopians, securing a complete victory for Judah.
