Following the victory over the Ethiopians, the prophet Azariah meets King Asa, urging him to continue his reforms, declaring, "The Lord is with you while you are with him." Asa is greatly encouraged and intensifies his purge of idols throughout the land. He restores the altar of the Lord in the Temple court.
