2 Chronicles 17

2 Chronicles 17

Jehoshaphat, Asa's son, succeeds him and is one of Judah’s most faithful kings. He establishes his rule by following the ways of his ancestor David, removing the high places and sending princes, Levites, and priests throughout Judah to teach the Book of the Law to the people. Because of his obedience, God strengthens his kingdom, and the surrounding nations bring him gifts, fearing the Lord. Jehoshaphat maintains a massive, well-organized army and builds fortresses and supply cities throughout the land.
