2 Chronicles 18

2 Chronicles 18

Jehoshaphat foolishly makes an alliance with the wicked King Ahab of Israel through marriage. Jehoshaphat agrees to join Ahab in battle to reclaim Ramoth-Gilead. Jehoshaphat insists they first inquire of God. Four hundred false prophets promise victory, but Jehoshaphat insists on hearing from the true prophet, Micaiah. Micaiah prophesies disaster, seeing Israel scattered like sheep without a shepherd. Ahab throws Micaiah in prison. Ahab is killed in the battle by a random arrow, and Jehoshaphat narrowly escapes death.
