2 Chronicles 31

2 Chronicles 31

Following the great Passover, the people dedicate themselves to nationwide reform. They travel throughout Judah and Israel, destroying all the pagan altars, high places, and sacred stones. Hezekiah then organizes the priests and Levites into their proper courses to ensure the Temple service is performed consistently. Hezekiah also establishes a system for collecting tithes and offerings to support the priests and Levites, and the people respond with overwhelming generosity and faithfulness, providing the resources needed to maintain true worship.
