2 Chronicles 32

The righteous reign of Hezekiah is challenged by the invasion of Sennacherib, King of Assyria. Hezekiah bravely prepares the city's defenses, stopping up springs, building up the walls, and strengthening his army. Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah pray to God about the Assyrian threat. The Angel of the Lord goes out and kills 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. Sennacherib immediately retreats, where he is assassinated by his own sons. After the victory, Hezekiah becomes prideful and falls ill, but God heals him and gives him immense wealth.

Job 31
