2 Chronicles 35

2 Chronicles 35

King Josiah gathers all the people and celebrates a magnificent Passover in Jerusalem, one that was greater than any observed since the time of the prophet Samuel. Josiah generously provides the lambs and goats needed for the sacrifice. Josiah ensures the Levites and priests are in their proper roles, organizing the entire service according to the Law of Moses. Tragically, Josiah is later killed in battle against Pharaoh Necho of Egypt at Megiddo, and all Judah mourns him greatly.
