2 Chronicles 9

2 Chronicles 9

The Queen of Sheba, having heard of Solomon's vast fame and wisdom, travels to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Solomon answers all her inquiries, and she is overwhelmed by his wisdom, his extravagant palace, the organization of his court, and the quality of the service. She gives Solomon 120 talents of gold and many costly gifts. The chapter concludes by listing the enormous wealth and trade that flowed into Israel under Solomon’s reign and records his death after ruling for forty years.
