Amos 7

Amos 7

Amos describes three terrifying visions of judgment sent by God: a plague of locusts, a devastating fire, and a plumb line representing God’s measuring standard for judging Israel. Each time, Amos intercedes, pleading with God to relent, and God shows mercy. However, the next vision involves a priest named Amaziah from Bethel, who attempts to silence Amos, telling him to go prophecy somewhere else. Amos sternly declares God's judgment against Amaziah and his family for opposing the divine word.
