Jeremiah 10

Jeremiah 10

Jeremiah contrasts the worthlessness of pagan idols with the power of the true God. The prophet mocks the idols carved from wood and decorated with silver and gold; they cannot speak, walk, or do any harm or good. In sharp contrast, the Lord is the true God, the King of the nations, who made the earth by His power and established the world by His wisdom. Jeremiah prays for correction and asks God not to consume the nation in His anger, recognizing the need for divine discipline.
