Jeremiah 12

Jeremiah 12

Jeremiah wrestles with a classic problem: why do the wicked prosper? He asks God why the way of the wicked flourishes while the godly suffer. God answers with a challenge: if Jeremiah struggles with men on foot, how will he race with horses? God explains that even Jeremiah’s own family and the people of Anathoth have dealt treacherously with him. God promises future judgment on the wicked neighbors of Israel, but also promises that if those nations truly learn God's ways, they will be built up among His people.

Ephesians 2

Paul states we were dead in sin, but God made us alive by grace through faith—a gift, not by works. Christ created one new humanity (Jew and Gentile) by destroying the dividing wall.

Ephesians 3

Paul reveals the mystery of Christ: the Gentiles are fellow heirs in the body. Paul prays that the Ephesians may grasp the immense breadth and depth of Christ's love.
