Jeremiah 12

Jeremiah 12

Jeremiah wrestles with a classic problem: why do the wicked prosper? He asks God why the way of the wicked flourishes while the godly suffer. God answers with a challenge: if Jeremiah struggles with men on foot, how will he race with horses? God explains that even Jeremiah’s own family and the people of Anathoth have dealt treacherously with him. God promises future judgment on the wicked neighbors of Israel, but also promises that if those nations truly learn God's ways, they will be built up among His people.
