Jeremiah 25

Jeremiah 25

Jeremiah delivers a pivotal prophecy: the people of Judah and the surrounding nations will serve the King of Babylon for seventy years. After that time, God will punish Babylon. God then describes a vision where He gives Jeremiah a cup of God's wrath and commands him to make all the nations drink from it—from Jerusalem to the surrounding kingdoms—signaling a worldwide judgment. The prophecy concludes with the terrifying image of the Lord roaring and bringing silence upon all flesh.
