Jeremiah 30

Jeremiah 30

This chapter is the beginning of the "Book of Comfort," where God promises a future restoration for both Israel and Judah. God promises to bring His people back to the land of their fathers. The Lord promises to break the yoke of bondage from their necks, and they shall serve the Lord their God and David their King (a future Messianic reference). The chapter promises that God will heal their wounds, restore their dignity, and establish justice, but only after a terrible period of judgment and affliction.
