Jeremiah 33

Jeremiah 33

God speaks to Jeremiah while he is still imprisoned, reaffirming the promises of the Book of Comfort. God promises to heal Jerusalem and cleanse her from all iniquity. God promises to make the city a source of praise and honor on earth. God reiterates the promise to raise up a "Branch of Righteousness" from David's line, who will execute justice. God confirms the unbreakable nature of His covenant with David and with the Levites, comparing it to the unbreakable covenant with the day and the night.
