Jeremiah 35
This chapter provides a powerful contrast between the disobedient people of Judah and the absolute obedience of the Rechabites. God commands Jeremiah to test the Rechabites by offering them wine. The Rechabites refuse, explaining that their ancestor, Jonadab, commanded them never to drink wine, live in houses, or sow fields.
