Jeremiah 43

Jeremiah 43

Despite God's clear warning, Johanan and the arrogant leaders accuse Jeremiah of lying and being influenced by Baruch. The people decide to disobey God's command and force Jeremiah and Baruch to go with them to Egypt. Upon arriving in Egypt, Jeremiah performs a symbolic act, taking large stones and burying them in the clay at the entrance to Pharaoh's house. Jeremiah prophesies that Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Egypt and set his throne directly over those stones.
