Jeremiah 44

Jeremiah 44

Jeremiah delivers a powerful message to the Jews living in various parts of Egypt. Jeremiah reminds them that God brought judgment upon Judah because of their persistent idolatry. The people brazenly answer that they plan to continue worshipping the "queen of heaven" because they were prosperous when they did so. God swears by His great name that He will bring disaster upon them in Egypt. God gives a final sign: Pharaoh Hophra, king of Egypt, will be delivered into the hand of his enemies.
